Barmouth Viaduct, Wales (NC 355)

Spanning the Mawddach Estuary between Barmouth and Fairbourne, this viaduct is mostly built of wood and allows the coastal train service pass to Pwllheli. A section of the metal bridge was once able to swing through 90 degrees to allow tall ships to pass up the river; the Mawddach was important for wooden shipbuilding in previous centuries. Painted in watercolours.
