Thors Cave above the Manifold Valley (NC 343)

Looking across to Thors Cave on a sunny day in May. An ancient dwelling place, the cavern was formed by the action of water dissolving the carboniferous limestone over millions of years. There are wonderful views of the Manifold Valley from the entrance. With the cave as a backdrop, I aimed to show the splendour of the may blossom in 2018, a fantastic year for flowers of all kinds.
