Parkhouse Hill on the Derbyshire side of the River Dove (which can be seen at the bottom of the picture). This and neighbouring Chrome Hill are often referred to as the true ‘peaks’ of the White Peak District area. In Jan 2024 I altered the sky on this painting, enlarging the uppermost cloud to give more balance to the composition.
