Harthill Moor (NC 306)
I sketched this scene of Harthill Moor, looking across to the stone circle from below ‘Robin Hood’s Stride’, on location – with some extra work done on it later back in the studio. I believe the ancient ‘Portway’ route passed by this location on it’s way from Duffield, traversing high ground northwards to Mam Tor and beyond.
