Carrick-a-Rede, Northern Ireland (NC420)
A 25m long rope bridge connects Carrick-a-Rede island to the mainland and the slightly precarious crossing is well worth it because the views of the Antrim coast from it are stunning. There is an old white wash Fishermens cottage above the steep cliffs where catches of sea food were brought ashore by a winch I would assume. I really enjoyed painting this view of Carrick-a-Rede from the mainland, I could have spent much more time on this rocky outcrop than was possible due to time restrictions, tickets to cross the famous rope bridge are available via the National Trust.
