Buxton Reflected lll, painted in watercolour on paper, shows the same antique and collectors shop as appears in my previous paintings of the same i.e. NC 203 and NC 163 (opposite the famous crescent building in the spa town of Buxton, Derbyshire). A new display of unusual artifacts mixed with the reflected imagery of the crescent and gardens. The human skull adds a macabre element to the picture although I believe it’s artificial. I enjoy the observational drawing involved in these pictures followed by the process of painting them in layered watercolour or acrylic pigments
