The Old Ash Tree (NC 363)
The Peak District has an abundance of ash trees, especially the ‘White Peak’ area that is predominately carboniferous limestone in its geological makeup. The old ash tree on the right frames the colourful peaks of Chrome and Parkhouse Hills in the distance on an early day in spring.
